9 Nights 10 Day Bhutan Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro, Bhutan
Our Guide and driver will greet you at Airport and drive towards Thimphu. On your way visit Tamchog Lhakhang.
After arrival in Thimphu, check into hotel, refresh yourself and get ready to take a short tour of Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu Tour
Morning drive towards 20 km north of Thimphu for Tango Cheri Monastery hike.

Day 3: Thimphu – Bumthang
Drive towards Bumthang via Dochula pass and botanical garden.
Day 4: Bumthang Cultural Tour
After breakfast, visit Kurjey Lhakhang where you can see the body print of Guru Rimpoche on a Rock. Then Jakar Dzong, which literally means “The Castle of White Bird”.
After lunch, visit Tamshing Lhakhang (Temple of the good message), established in 1501 by Pema Lingpa and is the most important Nyingmapa temple in the kingdom.
In the evening, visit Membarstho, which literally means, “The Burning Lake”. It was here that the Terton Pema Lingpa discovered the treasures hidden by Guru Rimpoche in the 14th century.
Hot stone bath: One of the best ways to unwind after a long day in Bhutan is the hot stone bath. It is not only practiced as a comforting soak but also to treat various alignments. Soaking in Menchu with (Water with medicinal properties) is one of the favorite activities for Bhutanese, especially during the winters. The cost for one bath is US$30 in Local Farm house.
Day 5: Bumthang – Phobjikha Valley
On the way, visit Trongsa Dzong, the most impressive Dzong in Bhutan and the Ta Dzong, an ancient watch tower. Proceed towards Phobjikha.
Day 6: Phobjikha Valley
Morning drive towards Gangtey Goempa monastery and Gangtey natural trial hike.
Later part of afternoon visit Black necked crane center.
Day 7: Phobjikha Valley – Punakha
Visit Chimi Lhakhang before reaching Punakha. After lunch visit Punakha Dzong and Punakha Suspension Bridge.
Day 8: Punakha – Paro
Morning Visist to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten and then drive towards Paro.
Visit SImtokha Dzong, Ta Dzonga dn Rimpung Dzong before checking into hotel.
Day 9: Hike to Tiger Nest Monastery
Are you ready? We will be making the hike up to one of the key highlights in Bhutan today! Tiger’s Nest, Taktsang Monastery.
Taktsang Monastery – A one hour hike to the cafeteria is also a vantage view whereby you can enjoy the stunning view of the monastery. Prayer flags adorn the cliffs and this is also where Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8th century.
Kyichu Lhakhang – After a sumptuous local lunch, we will retrace our steps to visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
Day 10: Depart from Paro
Depending upon your flight schedule, guide and driver will drop you at airport for your onward journey.
